My son Charlie was nicknamed at a young age "Charlo" by friends of mine and the name just stuck. When I started making charcuterie boards my Sister In Law came up with the idea to rebrand as Charlo Board and the name was too perfect!
I have been a teacher and coach for my entire career moving all over the South. When we moved to Prattville in 2017 I started dabbling in woodwork and then when we moved to Andalusia in 2020 it became a great way to make extra money for my family. This past year I decided to take a year away from coaching and focus on woodwork and spending more time with my family.
Each individual board is selected from a slab based on the natural beauty of the wood and the grain. I hand select every slab for the beauty and uniqueness of each piece of wood. I want your board to be one that is unique to you and your family and is an heirloom piece you can pass down for generations! Every board is handmade by me in my tiny workshop at our house in Andalusia, Alabama.
